God placed it on my heart to tell stories; life stories, stories of the heart, stories of legacy, Living Stories. By faith, I’ve embraced this calling. Living Stories by Picturing Art is the heartbeat of my business; my ministry.

Knowledge, strength, wisdom, faith and encouragement are ours through the stories we read in the bible. Of course, God is the main character; the Triune God - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. However, the bible is comprised of a multitude of stories of an vast array of characters.

As we learn and grow from these people of the bible, we in turn recite their stories to our kids and grandkids as we aim to teach them about life, love, danger and hope.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

We have our own stories. Studies have shown that children who know the stories of their loved ones, have a stronger sense of connectedness to their family thus have a stronger and healthier self-awareness. In the image of the Triune God, our desire for connection is by divine design. Telling our stories, and passing the family baton through our oral history keeps us connected. It keeps our stories alive.

Those family secrets may hold the key to breaking a generational stronghold. Those little things that you almost never talk about might just be a huge inspiration that motivates someone to take that leap of faith. You know what I mean?

Picture it and hold it close to your heart.
