Pure & Pregnant

Pregnant is synonymous with Birth as Birth is to Water and Water is to Pure and Pure is to Scared

Pregnancy reveals the glory of God.  The miracle of life is so potent during this before childbirth maternity season of life.

The force of water is often the first sign of impending childbirth. Therefore, an early morning photo session on the lake is the perfect location for maternity photographs.

“Blessings upon my baby unborn, safely inside me, asleep and so warm. Sleep must come easy to those who are unborn, as the Maker so silently fashions your form. sleep while you can so watery and warm, for outside this world is a crashing storm. Soon you will discover the taste of your tears, so sleep now my beloved one, my baby, my dear.” -unknown

“My precious little baby, I have loved you from the start. You are a tiny miracle laying closely to my heart. Each day I feel your presence, each day you quickly grow, each day your heart beats softly, as only I could know. So, I’ll keep this in a special place and remember each year through, of this special time in my life, in the months I carried you.” -Unknown

Viewing these beautiful images of our gorgeous pregnant mom by the water is a natural lead-in to the thoughts of water childbirth.  Although this is not meant to be an article regarding natural childbirth in water, it’s a beautiful introduction to the thought.  Following is an excerpt from an article on Water Birth

“Water birth is the process of giving birth in a tub of warm water. Some women choose to labor in the water and get out for delivery. Other women decide to stay in the water for the delivery as well. The theory behind water birth is that since the baby has already been in the amniotic fluid sac for nine months, birthing in a similar environment is gentler for the baby and less stressful for the mother.”

Read more about it on the American Pregnancy Association website.  I do not have a personal or professional association with the organization, but found the website to be very informative while promoting pregnancy wellness.
